AP Vehicluar Pollution Stats

There are 57.53 lakhs of Motor vehicles in different categories in Andhra Pradesh state. The vehicular population is increasing day by day and smoke emission from Automobile is causing pollution and also becoming hazardous to health.

The total vehicular pollution load (VPL) in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad alone is 1500 T/day various pollutants released into the atmosphere are detailed below.

The Department has stepped up pollution checking of vehicles to ensure that all the vehicles are subjected to Pollution check.

There are 455 PUC centers functioning in the State with 318 Smoke meters, 367 Gas Analyzers. 164 Pollution Testing Stations are functioning in Twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and all the centers are computerized.
